Teenage Violet (Lothario) Caliente

Violet stood in front of her cake smiling. She had led a charmed life, Dustin and Dina spoiled her rotten, yes, life was blissful when you were beautiful! She wore her hair in cute bunches on the side of her head. She was extremely proud she had done them herself. As the sparkling candles lit up her face, Dina looked on proudly. Violet had grown so quickly, where had the time gone? And now she was married? In a way, Dina missed the fake blonde, irresponsible woman who lived with her sister and chased Mortimer Goth. She would not recognise herself now, but she liked the person she was now, the old Dina had seemed sheltered from reality.

The kids of the Broke house. Abigail and Alison are almost identical, and look a lot like their father.

As Violet blew out her candles, she wished with all her might that she could meet her real dad. Dustin had been like a father to her, but she always knew he wasn't and she missed her real dad. Dina had never let Violet meet Don because she didn't want to be in that position with him again. She still found him very attractive, but loved Dustin so much. She didn't want to do anything she would regret, as Don was so irresistable!

Dina, Dustin and Willow cheered as Violet began her transformation.

Violet Lothario Caliente. Her Aspiration is popularity.

Violet after her makeover. I must say, she has inherited the best of Dina and Don's genes, don't you think?

Violet with her half sister Willow. They are completely different! I think Willow looks a lot like Mortimer rather than Dina, but Violet seems mostly her mother.

Kaylynn and Darren trying.

"Did you know we've been married for a year now Darren?" Kaylynn asked one afternoon. The two of them were both off from work, and they were spending a lazy day, mainly cuddleing and talking.
"Of course! How could I forget darling?" Darren smiled. He truly loved Kaylynn, he sometimes thought of Darleen, but even though he missed her he could think of her memory as a happy one, instead of a great tragedy. The pain of Dirk's death was still there, but Kaylynn made everything better.
"Left! Right! What are you doing?!" shouted Delia. She was playing a new computer game she had brought that morning and was enjoying it a lot.
"Shut up." called Donna irritabley, who was at the kitchen table doing some of her huge pile of homework.
"Girls." warned Kaylynn, but Darren smiled.
"Ever feel like having another one of them? With me instead of that loser?" Darren whispered quietly.
"Darren he's not a loser! He's just made a few mistakes."
Darren rolled his eyes. "You didn't answer my question."
Kaylynn leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled at him. "Yeah. Yeah. Ok Darren, let's have a baby Dreamer."

This was easier said than done. Darren had 11 days until beoming an elder, and Kaylynn had 15. Their biological clocks were ticking and even though they tried for a baby a lot, Kaylynn didn't get pregnant. Kaylynn was worried. What if they couldn't have children anymore? She wanted the child to be hers, there was always adoption for the two of them, but she didn't fancy that. She thought it might be nice to adopt though, her friends, Marylena and Jennifer Hamilton (who were married quietly a few weeks before) had recently adopted a baby girl called Suzette. Kaylynn had visited them, and they had seemed very happy. Jennifer had completely forgotton about John, and was extremely happy with her new life.

I think I have been encourageing bad behavior by letting the couple Woo-Hoo this much, when Kaylynn was trying on some clothes, Darren just walked in and the two started Trying for a Baby completely without my help! All of the people in the shop seemed pretty pleased about this. Darren seems to like Public Woo-Hoo, after he came out of the booth, he spun up a want to Public Woo-Hoo with 3 different sims. He is also constantly walking to Kaylynn and congratulating her, always about the public Woo-Hoo. Someone is obsessed!Let's hope Darren doesn't turn into a Don, Pleasantview doesn't need another romancer.

All of their antics payed off however, as Kaylynn got pregnant, after a grand total of 10 Try for Baby's. Looks like they will have to build and extension, or move house, it's definately too small for 3 kids at the moment!

One morning when Donna and Delia were at school, and Darren was working, Kaylynn went into labour...

...and gave birth to Damian Dreamer! As soon as Damian was born, Kaylynn spun up a want for 10 children, but there is no way I'm going through this hassle again!

Damian has his father's blue eyes and both his parents' hair colour of black. He doesn't resemble one or the other yet, but I think all the babies look that same anyway.

The Date

Mr Richard Donovan was new to Pleasantview. He had moved on buisness, he was a GP, and his surgery had made him redundant. However, they recommended him to Pleasantview surgery, and he was offered a job there, whcih he gladly took. He has a family aspiration, and dreams of sitting on a porch with his future wife, surrounded by their grandchildren. He arrived at Lilith's home just as Angela was leaving.
"Hi." He said nervously.
"She looks amazing! I'm proud of my work, she's just your type." Angela smiled, and strolled back to her own house. She was making dinner tonight, Alex wouldn't be pleased if she was late!

Lilith had been sitting in an armchair feeling her hair tenderly when the doorbell rang. Her shoulders felt oddly weightless without her hair, she wasn't sure if she liked it or not. She leaped to her feet feeling like she had left her insides in the chair. She walked to the door and opened it.

Lilith thought Richard was very good looking, she definately was thankful for Angela now! She laughed as he talked to him, and couldn't wait to go out on their date. Richard however wasn't so sure. Angela had got the looks right, he thought she looked very sexy, he loved her smile. But her personality didn't really make him feel anything. He liked her, but he wanted a woman with emotion, and passion. He knew he shouldn't be judging her so soon, there was the whole evening to go for her to show some fire and give him the feel. He smiled as she made a joke. Lilith seemed very fun, even if they didn't work out relationship wise, he knew they would be friends.
"Bye kids!" Lilith called over her shoulder "Dinner's in the oven, don't forget it!" There were a couple of murmed 'Uh huhs' and Lilith rolled her eyes.
"Ready to go?"
"Always"

"I'm sorry I couldn't take you some place nicer, you see I'm pretty much broke at the moment. Hotdogs in the park are all I can afford." Richard said embarassed. He really liked Lilith, and he wanted to have treated her, but he had no money, it was either here or a cheap diner somewhere, and he thought the park was more romantic. Not that he was thinking much about romance, Lilith just hadn't made him feel the 'thing' yet. He was sad, he wished he could love her, she was funny and nice, but he just couldn't yet. He needed passion and emotion, but she just wasn't showing that.
"That's okay, I've barely got any money either. After Dirk died, he was the breadwinner, things have kind of fallen apart."
"Who's Dirk?"
"Oh gosh, Angela didn't tell you? He was my husband, he died while I was pregnant with Darleen."
"Darleen is one of your kids?"
"Yes, but she's dead too." Lilith hated talking about Darleen and Dirk, the thought made her feel so sad. She wasn't suprised to feel tears in her ears. "I'm so sorry, you probably don't want to hear about all my dead relatives, just when I talk about them I get so emotional. Talk about something else."
But Richard was speechless. Watching Lilith cry made him feel the 'thing'. Finally! So Lilith did have passion and emotion, and she wasn't afraid to show her feelings. The 'thing' was definately going for Lilith! But it was different, it was so much stronger than he had felt it before. His heart was racing.
"Would you like to go for a walk? Walks always make me cheer up." He said breathlessly.

The two of them had enjoyed a blissful walk around the park together. Lilith had no idea why, but she was finding Richard nicer now, he had seemed rather reluctant at first, but after her tears he had been so pleasant to talk to and had really entered into the conversation.
As for Richard, he was never going to judge a book but it's cover ever again! He was sure Lilith was the one, he was captivated by her stare.
After the walk, the pair found a bench next to the lake and under a willow tree. It was in a very secluded spot, they were quite far away from the other picnic tables.

"You look stunning under moonlight." Richard said entranced by her green eyes. His hand reached up gently to caress her face, as he pulled her in for a kiss. It was the most romantic thing Lilith had experienced in a long time, and completely different from being with Dirk.
"I want to say something to you." He said.
Lilith had a pretty good idea of what he was going to say. "If you say it well enough, I'll say it back." she teased.
"I love you."
"I love you too"

When the two of them finally left their special place under the willow tree, Lilith had such a good evening she didn't want to get out of the cab. She turned to Richard who was sitting in the back seat of the cab.
"Thanks for an amazing evening." she smiled.
"No problem. I'll see you soon right?"
"Definately."
"I love you Miss Pleasant." He vowed.
Lilith grinned. "Goodnight Mr Donovan."

As Lilith walked though her door, her thoughts were only of Richard.
"I waited up for you." said Freya. "David fell asleep," David snored in responce "but I cared. How did it go?"
Lilith sank into the sofa. "Not bad, for a first date."

Lilith 'back out there'

"Lilith!" Angela cried after they had stopped their greeting hug. "I told you to get ready before I got here, you don't look like someone who's going on a blind date tonight! He'll probably see you and walk right out!"
"I didn't feel dressy. I thought this was okay..."
"Ripped shorts?" C'mon in NOW. I'm going to sort you out."

"Don't you have any nice dresses?" asked Angela watching Lilith sort through her outfits.
"No not really. Dirk brought me a lot when he was alive, but I threw them out, they were too big now I've lost the weight."
Angela looked at her sister from behind. She was worried about her. Lilith had always been slim and fit, but now she was bordering on skinny. She had lost a lot of weight when Dirk died, and it was only now Angela realised how much.
"What about this one? It's only semi formal, but I think it suits you..."

"I don't know Angie, it seems a bit too formal for me..."
"Too formal? No. Definately not. I think you look casual but sophisticated. Now we have to sort your hair."
"Why? What are you going to do to it?"
"Just cut it short."
"WHAT?"
"Oh come on. Long never did suit you. And besides, Richard says he loves short, he says it's sexy."
"Short? Short hair?"
"Yep. Cut lovely and short. I cut Alex and Olivia's hair all the time, I'll do it well. Now sit down and let me do it."

"The glasses? I thought my glasses made me look stupid."
"I think you look knowledgeable. And Richard loves them too."
"What if Richard is a prat?"
"He's not. You'll love him. He's amazing, and so handsome. Anyway, look at you! You look so pretty!"

"Lilith, it's time to move on from Dirk. You are 100% back out there." smiled Angela, proud of how her sister looked.

Back

Sand. There had always been too much sand. It got in her clothes, her hair and she even trod it into her lovely carpets. But after this there wouldn't be anymore sand.
"No beaches or deserts for miles where you're heading. Just lakes. A lovely big lake." Her therapist said this as he hugged her goodbye.
"Got your picture?" he asked. He knew she had her picture, he was just obsessive like that. She tapped her handbag pocket. In it contained a picture of a woman she had met. A woman who was her daughter, but she didn't know her or remember her. She didn't remember much, her first memory was walking. Just walking. She hadn't know where he destination was, or what she had left behind, but it was oddly serene. She smiled.
"Bye Ajay."
"Miss you Bells. Remember what you have to say to the first person you meet? When you get there?"
"I'm looking for a Miss Cassandra Goth. Can you tell me where I might find the Goth mansion?"
"And the bit about your name? What about if they ask your name?"
"I'm Bella Goth."

Bella had caused quite a stir when she arrived in Strangetown. She was walking along one of the main roads when Ajay found her. He took an instant liking to her, and asked her what her name was. Her personality was funny, and she seemed strangely innocent. She had no idea. He asked her where she lived. She had no idea. Ajay was training in psychology at the time, and was concerned by her behaviour. She acted like a 6 year old out after hours. He had taken her to the police, and they had identified her as a woman who had gone missing in a town 100's of miles away called Pleasantview. She had a deceased husband, and two children. She was shown pictures of them, told her entire life story, but she still had no idea who she was. Ajay sort of adopted her, and taught her how to read and write. When she was ready, a bus was arranged to take her to Pleasantview to meet her family, and hopefully live with her daughter. Bella knew she was special, people always whispered when she walked past them, she hated it. She was alarmed to find she had been married, and that she had two children. She took the picture out of her purse and stared at the gloomy face of her daughter. She didn't look fun at all! She preferred to forget what her son looked like, in the picture he had not been particually attractive!

"Bye Ajay." And then she turned and walked to the bus stop. She hated goodbyes, and Ajay had been the only person she had liked in this sandy place. She had no idea what she was going to find, but it had to be better than what she was leaving behind.

Bella had been assigned a low budget condo on the rougher side of town. She walked in to find it decorated quite nicely. She put down her things and hung up all the clothes she had, which wasn't many. She decided to go for a walk and see who she could find to ask about her daughter Cassandra and where she lived. Ajay had stressed it was vital that Bella should meet Cassandra and Alexander and get to know them.

Bella's condo: Ground floor.

Bella's condo: Bedroom and Balcony.

The bus journey had been a long one, and Bella's hair wasn't looking as good as she hoped, so she pulled it back into a ponytail and touched up her make up. She felt the side of her head tenderly. She was getting a headache, she normally got them when she was trying to remember her life here, and now she was actually here Bella knew she would be getting a lot of headaches from now on. She had one last look in her bathroom mirror and went to the phone.

Bella was tierd of cars and buses, she asked her surly taxi driver which community lot was closest to her house. He told her the swimming pool was, and she asked to go there. She looked at the picture of her daughter. She was thin, maybe she stayed slim by swimming, it seemed a good place to start anyway. It was a short drive, she told the taxi driver to wait there, and she hopped out. She looked at the clock. It was 5:30, it would be dark soon, she had to get a move on. She walked through the building until she saw a group of people standing together talking. She approached a dark handsome man and smiled.

Don was at the pool to see if he could meet any ladies, this was where all the fit ones seemed to be. He was making small talk with Beau Broke while keeping an eye out for anyone who pushed his buttons, when a dark attractive woman approached him.
Bella cleared her throat and said her rehersed speech.
"I'm looking for a Miss Cassandra Goth. Can you tell me where I may find the Goth mansion?"

At Cassandra's name Don flinched. He had caught sight of her the other day, she was pushing a baby in a pram in the grocery store. Don had fled. He knew exactly who's baby it was, he regretted that night with Cassandra, and now she seemed to have had his secret child and gone to live somewhere else, and he had no idea where. He didn't want to admit to himself he had a ninth child, so he thought it would be best to avoid Cassandra, and hopefully the child would evaporate or something.
He came back to his senses and answered the woman's question.
"Well, Cassandra doesn't live at the Goth mansion anymore, no one does. I'm not sure where she lives, but she might be grocery shopping, she had a lot of mouths to feed you see." Before he could embarass himself anymore, he turned back to Beau to find that the boy had already started to walk away. Don just awkwardly shuffled off to play darts, the woman had creeped him out a little. She looked like someone, but he had no idea who...

Bella's head was spinning. 'A lot of mouths to feed'? Did this mean that she, Bella Goth, young and free, was a grandma as well as a mother? She stumbled back to the taxi, feeling another headache coming on. She asked to go to the grocery store, feeling dazed. She missed Ajay and sand, when life was easy. She went to every community lot in this whole damn town, but there was no sign of anyone who looked like her daughter. She had saved the clothes store for last, in the picture her daughter didn't have the best fashion sense, she doubted she would be here. There was no Miss Goth, but a boy who resembled the woman in the photo was there. Was this one of the many 'mouths to feed'?
"I'm looking for Cassandra Goth. Apparently she doesn't live in the Goth mansion anymore, so where is she?" Bella asked the boy. She stopped for a second, and remembered Ajay reminding her about her name. "I'm Bella Goth by the way."
"Is this some kind of joke?" the boy said looking angry. "My sister is called Bella Goth, are you just trying to annoy me?"
"No! I'm called Bella Goth. Apparently Cassandra is my daughter. I'm her mum."
The boy stared for a few moments, mouth open.
"Are you my gran, the one who went missing? The one who got abducted by aliens?"
"I don't know. I don't remember."
"Nothing?"
"Nothing."
"Ok. Ok. How about you come to my house tommorrow? It's too late now, it's almost 11:00, but you can come visit my mum and she'll see if you really are her missing mother. I'm Martin Goth, our address is 210 Sim Lane Ok, the big house. I'll get you into a taxi, I would stay and talk but I really must be getting back home. I'll tell my mum you're coming tommorrow."

At least her grandson seemed nice. Grandson. It felt wierd thinking that she had kids, let alone grandkids. It had been a long day for Bella, she was glad when her taxi came, and she could get off this uncomfortable bench.

Bella didn't sleep very well that night, she was terrified of what her daughter would think of her, she didn't know whether she would want to know her or not.

Cassandra had Don's baby. She loved her even though she hadn't wanted her. She called her Olive because of the olive tree outside of her room. She had been down recently, but Rafa cheered her up. She knew she loved him, but like a brother instead of the fiery passion she felt for Don. Rafa on the other hand was so in love with Cassandra that he thought he would soon go mad if he did not kiss her. He stayed up to watch her sleep, and treated Olive like his own. He had no idea who the father was, but he decided to pretend it was his baby girl.

That morning Cassandra stood on her balcony. She was nervous, she wasn't sure if Martin was pulling one of his annoying practical jokes on her or not. She knew as soon as she saw the woman she would know if she was really her daughter or not, she was shivering with excitement. She remembered her mother, but had assumed she would never see her again after a year or two of her being gone. And now that she was going to see her again, hug her and call her mum was overwhelming.

Bella had worn her best clothes for the day and worn her hair in a bun. She hoped she looked sophisticated, and that she would make a good first impression. A woman walked down the path, dressed all in black and with her hair in a ponytail. Bella was suprised. The woman looked like the picture, but different. She had no glasses, no silly pigtails and was well dressed. She was also suprised to see that the woman was crying.

Cassandra didn't know why she cried. Maybe it was because she was still worked up from the pregnancy, or maybe because she knew the smart woman standing by her gate was her mother. She wanted to leap into her arms, but remembered that her mother didn't remember her, and might be startled by a woman she didn't know crying and hugging her. So she held out her hand. Bella took it.
"Mum."
"Cassandra? You're nothing like my picture, I don't think I would have recognised you. You look beautiful."
"So do you."
"Well luckily being with aliens doesn't age you, or I'd have a lot more wrinkles"
"I'm older than you? You haven't aged all this time?"
" 'Fraid so."
"I've missed you."
"I'm sure the woman I used to be has missed you too. So what's happened to you while I've been gone."
"Well, I've been married, then divorced, had five kids and burned a house down."
"FIVE kids? I've got FIVE grandchildren? Wow. I...wow!
"Come inside, I'll tell you everything. And you can tell me where you've been too."

The mother and daughter walked into the house, hand in hand. They probably want some privacy to talk, and I think we'll give them that.

Teenage Olivia Pleasant and Teenage Max Caliente

Olivia sat in her pink room watching her television. She secretly enjoyed kids T.V programmes, even though she pretended she was far too old for them, and wanted to watch one last one before she became a teen.
"Liv Liv sweetpea?!" She heard her mother Angela call up her stairs. She pretended not to hear. She didn't want to go and have to see Aunt Lilith, and her poor cousins. Anyone who had less cash than at least a thousand simoleons in their wallets wasn't worth socializing with in her view. But mummy did like Aunt Lilith, Olivia couldn't understand why. She couldn't wait to be a teen though, most of her friends had grown up already.

When Olivia finally made it down the stairs, her Aunt Lilith and one of her cousins Bella had come. Angela had invited a lot of people, but no one had really wanted to come. Lilith and Angela don't seem to car about their niece/daughter growing up, but Alexander was very supportive.

Olivia blew out her candles and began her transformation. She was very excited about being a teen!

Teenage Olivia Pleasant. Her aspiration is fortune. Luckily she only seems to have inherited Alexander's eyes and hair, the rest is Angela. But that does mean she had the unfortunate Pleasant nose!

Meanwhile, Max Caliente was celebrating his birthday. Nina had invited her sister Dina, even though their relationship is still tense, and her husband Dustin. She had invited Violet and Willow too, but only Willow decided to come out of the two of them. She became a teenager recently, but it happened to quickly for me to make a post about. In this picture, instead of watching her cousin grow up, Willow stormed out the front door and got into the hot tub. Dina and Dustin had been in it, but were bothered enough to watch Max grow up. Max hasn't had a great childhood, his mum and dad fight, and neither of them taught him to walk, talk or use the potty. He blew out his candles hoping that teenhood would be better than childhood.

Willow enjoying the hot tub.

Nina, Dina and Don watch Max transform. It struck me when they were standing next to eachother how similar they all are. Wierd. Dustin decided he had enough, and joined his step daughter in the tub.

Teenage Max Caliente. His aspiration is family, he wants a family to help him forget his less than great childhood. Don won't be happy, I'm sure he wants lots of little heartbreakers!

Pretty much everyone in Pleasantview right now is an adult or a teen, everyone seemes to have had their kids at about the same time, and there aren't any elders. Hopefully the next generations will balance it out.

A+'s and work and Mrs Broke

The Burbs weren't a standout family. They didn't have 9 kids, and they weren't very rich, the didn't cause scandals at all. So naturally they faded into the background of the Pleasantview gossip. But all of that could've been about to change. It took a while to settle in but before long, Jennifer and John had jobs, and Lucy was settled at school.

But Jennifer was sick of it. Sick of having budget items. Sick of having to buy cheap food. Sick of having virtually no clothes. She wanted money! She wanted a huge house, and to be able to tell other Mums that Lucy had got into a private school. So she threw herself into work. When she wasn't working, she was on her computer, attempting to write a novel. So far, it hadn't gone well, she wasn't a natural author at all! But she never gave up.

Jennifer's work obsession didn't sit well with John. He was desperate for more kids, and wanted to be with Jennifer a lot more than he was. She would come home from work and not want to even hug him.
"I've missed you today sweetie!" John cried when she came through the door one night. He held out his arms and expected her to walk into them like she used to.
"Sorry honey, I'm too tierd. I'll just get writing."

So naturally, John began to pine for physical interaction. He tried again next morning, and went to peck Jennifer on the cheek. She moved her head away. "Not now John, I've got to leave."
John's carpool arrived a few hours later than Jennifer's lift, and Lucy's school bus, so it was his job to clean the house. He was went outside to pick up the paper that had just been delivered, when Brandi Broke walked past. He had met her when she came to greet them when they moved in. He had liked, her she made him laugh a lot. He was pleased to see her.

"Brandi!" he called.
"John? Hi! I haven't seen you in ages!" Brandi was smiling. She had thought John was good company, but she hadn't thought much of his wife. She had seemed cold and arrogant, and didn't look at John with any love at all. She automatically gave him a hug, it seemed natural, John reminded her of Skip, funny and kind. To her suprise John hugged her back.
"You've had a haircut!" he noticed.
"You haven't." Brandi commented.
John laughed "Come in. We'll have a chat, I've got about 3 hours until my carpool arrives, I'm lonely."
"He looks it" Brandi thought. John didn't look as happy and carefree as he had before, but she had no idea why.
The hug with Brandi had made John's head spin. He barely knew Brandi, but she had just hugged him with more tenderness than his wife had in years.

The two of them (without realising) had talked and talked for hours. John heard the BEEP which meant his carpool had arrived. He looked out the window regretfully, he had been having so much fun. He got up. "I have to leave."
"Oh."
Neither of them moved. John was captivated by her stare.
"Well I guess I'll see you later then." John said, as another loud honk brought him to his senses.
"Bye"
But John couldn't make his feet move. Instinctively, the two began to kiss desperately. John wasn't even thinking of Jennifer, he couldn't remember her name. All he knew was Brandi and that he belonged with her. Maybe things shouldn't have gone as far as they did, going upstairs and into the bedroom definately hadn't been wise, but John wasn't regretful. He had just spent the best 4 hours of his life, and when he kissed Brandi gently as she finally left, he wished he could repeat what had happened today again and again.

Lucy had 2 days until she became a teen. The highest her grades had been was a C, she didn't care, but John did!
"Lucy, this isn't good enough. Pick up your work. You have 2 days until you are a teen. I expect an A by then or else."
So Lucy worked. She did every single piece of homework that she had 'put aside for later' in one evening. She got to bed at 00:00, but she felt proud of herself. The next day she skipped breakfast so she could lie in, and had the hardest school day of her life. She missed both both of her breaks to complete projects, and put her hand up to answer every question a teacher asked. She carried on like this for two days, and by the end of it, she could barely stand to see her homework again! The teacher was pleased with her, and very gladly marked her homework card with a large A+.

Lucy hopped off the bus that evening filled with fear. What if she had got another C? She walked halfway up the path, and turned over the card as she went. She stopped. A+.
"DAD! I DID IT!" She screamed and ran in. She began to do a wild victory dance until she saw what was happening in front of her.

"12 years John! Do 12 years of marraige mean nothing to you?! How could you, after all I've done for this family!"
"Hey, don't take that tone with me, you haven't done anything for me or Lucy since you got that stupid job!"
"That 'stupid job' is my life!"
"So me and Lucy aren't then? I'm sorry Jennifer, I want to be with someone I mean something to."
Lucy stared unable to speak. She was terrified. She worked out exactly what was happening in an instant. But hse felt something funny happen in her toes. Before she knew what to do she was becoming a teen.

Lucy stood, not able to move to check out how she looked as her mother and father's arguing got worse.

"I want you OUT! Go and live with this woman, see if I care, but I want you GONE and gone TONIGHT!" Jennifer looked over John's shoulder suddenly. "Lucy! You're a teen!" She didn't smile, but she looked proud. Lucy didn't go and comfort her. She had barely spoken to her mother for a year, she knew who she would be living with from now on.
"I'm going with Dad. I'm sorry mum, but as you said before, I'm not your life, and I should be. I'm going with Dad."
"Brandi?" John said looking pale. The woman who was sitting down, stood up.
"Yes?"
"Can Lucy and I stay with you?"
"Of course!"
Lucy wasn't entirely keen on staying with a woman who so didn't know, and that had split her parents up, but she would rather stay with anyone than her mother right now.

Because of John and Lucy moving in, the Broke house suddenly became quite well off. Brandi and John both brought a house together, with enogh space for Beau, Christopher and Lucy to all sleep, including themelves. John had a new lease of life. He was happy all the time, he was always smiling, Brandi made life fun, he hadn't realised how much he had missed laughing.

After the breakup, Jennifer went through a tough time. She was depressed about her failed marraige, and even more low about the fact her daughter didn't seem to love her any more. After a few weeks, Lucy felt guilty and went to visit her Mum in her new bungalow. After seeing how down Jennifer was, Lucy recommended therapy. Lucy went to see a depression therapist called Marylena Hamilton, who to Jennifer's suprise made her feel a lot better during their first session. However as soon as Jennifer got home, she fell back into depression. The pattern continued, until Jennifer realized Marylena was the one making her happy. She asked Marylena to move in with her and be her roommate, and (not to Jennifer's suprise) she refused. Jennifer still saw her, but realised she had no interest in men anymore, and was head over heels for Marylena. Marylena was extremely kind, and after seeing that Jennifer needed her, agreed (somewhat unsurely) to move in and look after her. After quite a long time, Marylena found out Jennifer was in love with her, and told Jennifer that she too was gay. They are now a couple and couldn't be more happy together. They are engaged, the wedding is planned and they are even considering adoption. Lucy is very proud of her mother. She is like a different person, now that Marylena has a well paid job. Jennifer now has time for Lucy, and Lucy visits every weekend. She respects her mother for being able to admit that she is gay and get over her depression.

Life for the Burbs has turned out very well, although, sadly they are not still the family they were when they came to Pleasantview.
