He was pleased with how his run today was going, he was almost home, and he had barely broken a sweat, he was out of breath, but not as much as he normally was. He was jogging at a very good speed, but suddenly came to a halt. The girl from the wedding was watering flowers, this must be her house! He had never got the nerve to ask her name, and Olivia had been talking to him and he felt to polite to say no. He thought she was beautiful, her brown hair and hazel eyes were very attractive to him!
He walked slowly towards her. She put down the watering can.
"Good afternoon" she said with a smile. "Were you at my aunt's wedding, I seem to remember you?"
"Yes I was. And you look just as beautiful now as you did in that stunning dress might I say?" Max said turning on the charm. Another thing Max had inherited from Nina and Don was the ability to charm anyone he pleased. After a few slightly awkward, but inviting lines, Lucy was giddy for Max! He told her about his troubled childhood, how his parents had come home with strangers and disappeared into the hottub, how they argued all the time, how he had 8 siblings, most of whom he barely knew and some not at all. Max was saying all the right things, a dark handsome, misunderstood stranger had jogged into her world, and Lucy was caught like a rabbit in headlights.
"How did you get to be so pretty?" Max whispered, and kissed her. Lucy was shocked for a moment, but definately didn't refuse!
"Now we've got that awkward part out the way, how would you feel about coming out with me tommorrow night? I'll take you somewhere nice, what do you say?" Max said hoping she would say yes.
"Like a date?" Lucy asked hoepfully.
"I just kissed you didn't I? I was hoping we could move into the dating category. I've never like someone so much who I've known for about 5 minutes."
"Well, I say cheesy line but ok!" Lucy smiled, and hugged him.
"I'll see you tommorrow then!" Max said, elated.
As Max jogged home, he realised what a truly great run it had been.
